Job Description

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will focus on hardware-software integration and optimization to achieve minimal latency in processing pipelines. You'll work closely with AI engineers to deploy models on embedded platforms, ensuring reliable, efficient performance for real-time interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and optimize end-to-end processing pipelines for low-latency operations, from input capture to output delivery. Implement and integrate protocols like RTSP for real-time streaming, along with efficient codecs (e.g., Opus, AAC) to balance quality and bandwidth. Support the deployment of AI models (e.g., detection, synthesis) on embedded hardware, optimizing for memory, power, and compute constraints. Assist in preparing custom datasets by developing tools for data recording, formatting, and real-time simulation on embedded setups. Ensure system reliability, including error handling, security, and compatibility across devices (e.g., Raspberry Pi, ARM-based MCUs).

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a focus on real-time signal or data processing. Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded programming environments (e.g., Linux-based systems, RTOS). Strong knowledge of protocols (RTSP, RTP) and codecs, with experience in libraries like FFmpeg or libopus. Familiarity with hardware interfaces (e.g., sensors, outputs) and optimization techniques (e.g., DSP acceleration, multi-threading). Experience with embedded ML deployment (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, ONNX Runtime).

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially in processing domains, to collaborate effectively on model integration. Knowledge of search/indexing in embedded contexts (e.g., lightweight databases like SQLite). Experience with dataset tools for embedded testing (e.g., simulating streams, handling compressed formats).
