Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
3-6 years of experience in embedded hardware design, preferably in motor control, EV controllers, or power electronics.
Strong understanding of BLDC/PMSM motor control hardware fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with:
Power circuits, gate drivers, switching devices
DC-DC converters, power supplies
Analog front-end design (current/voltage sensing)
Microcontroller-based circuit design
Proficiency in PCB tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or Eagle.
Experience with testing tools like oscilloscopes, DMMs, power analyzers, JTAG debuggers, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues independently.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Hardware Design & Development
Design and develop analog, digital, and power electronic circuits for motor controller and VCU/MCU applications.
Create detailed hardware schematics based on system requirements and performance goals.
Work closely with the firmware and mechanical teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Component Selection
Select appropriate semiconductor devices (MOSFETs/IGBTs/Drivers), microcontrollers, sensors, and passive components.
Evaluate electrical, thermal, environmental, and cost constraints during component selection.
Coordinate with suppliers for samples, datasheets, and alternate sourcing.
Testing & Validation
Develop and execute test plans for board bring-up, functional testing, stress testing, and environmental validation.
Perform debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and other lab tools.
Ensure hardware complies with safety, EMI/EMC, and reliability standards relevant to EV/motor control applications.
PCB Layout & Review
Create PCB layouts for multi-layer boards involving high-current and high-voltage paths.
Perform layout reviews with focus on creepage/clearance, noise reduction, thermal management, and manufacturability.
Ensure DFM/DFT considerations are implemented.
End-to-End Hardware Ownership
Manage the complete hardware development lifecycle from concept to production readiness.
Coordinate with manufacturing partners for PCB fabrication, assembly, and quality control.
Prepare hardware documentation including schematics, BOM, test reports, and revision history.
