Job Description

Develop and maintain embedded firmware for digital communication systems including HF, VHF, UHF and Microwave radios Implement low-level drivers, board support packages (BSPs), and real-time operating systems (RTOS) for custom hardware platforms Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency in rugged environments Support secure communication protocols and encryption modules Conduct rigorous testing and validation to meet MIL-STD and DO-178C compliance Maintain detailed technical documentation and participate in design reviews Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in embedded system design Experience with SDR (Software Defined Radio) platforms

Candidate profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development for defense or aerospace systems Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly for microcontrollers and SoCs Experience with RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, FreeRTOS, SysBIOS) and embedded Linux Familiarity with secure communication protocols (e.g., AES, ECC, IPsec) Strong debugging skills using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers Knowledge of military standards and compliance requirements.
