Job Summary:

The ELV Technician is responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including but not limited to CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Public Address, Structured Cabling, Intercom, SMATV, and Building Management Systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test various ELV systems such as: CCTV and Surveillance Systems Access Control and Door Entry Systems Fire Alarm and Emergency Systems Data and Structured Cabling Networks Public Address (PA) / Voice Alarm Systems SMATV / IPTV / Intercom Systems Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts. Perform cable pulling, routing, dressing, labeling, and termination. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Assist in system commissioning and handover documentation. Ensure installations comply with project specifications, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate with other trades (electrical, mechanical, IT, civil) for smooth project execution. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition. Provide on-site technical support and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering or related field. Minimum

2-5 years

of experience in ELV system installation and maintenance. Good understanding of ELV standards, cable types, and system integration. Ability to use testing tools (multimeter, network tester, CCTV tester, etc.). Basic computer literacy for configuration and reporting. Knowledge of safety practices and electrical codes. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
