Job Description

The ELV Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, client requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design, plan, and execute ELV systems including: CCTV & Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems Fire Alarm Systems Structured Cabling (Data & Voice) Public Address (PA) Systems Video Door Phone (VDP) BMS / IBMS interfaces SMATV / IPTV (if applicable) Study drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to ELV works. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other contractors at site. Supervise installation, termination, testing, and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, standards, and safety norms. Prepare and update daily work reports and progress reports. Attend client, consultant, and coordination meetings. Troubleshoot system faults and provide technical support. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for materials and technical clarifications. Prepare as-built drawings and handover documents. Ensure timely project completion within budget.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Electronics, or related field. Minimum

1-3 years

of experience in ELV systems (freshers may be considered for junior roles). Strong knowledge of ELV systems, cabling standards, and site practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts.

Skills & Competencies

Hands-on knowledge of ELV installation and commissioning Good understanding of networking basics Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Good communication and coordination skills Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge preferred Ability to work independently and under pressure
