Job Description

Purpose of Job:

The ELK Backend Engineer is responsible to enhance the monitoring of the Business-Critical applications of the enterprise and align with the standards and policies defined by the Enterprise Tools and CSI department.


An ELK Backend Engineer is a specialist who uses data to monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of infrastructure and services. They design and implement observability solutions using various tools and frameworks.

Academics:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.



Certifications (preferred):

Elastic Certified Engineer Elastic Certified Observability Engineer

Job knowledge, skills & experience:

Overall 3+ years of experience working within a large enterprise consisting of large and diverse teams. Minimum of 2 years of experience on APM and Monitoring technologies Minimum of 2 years of experience on ELK An ELK Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing the ELK stack to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and visualization. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of ELK engineers and administrators. ELK Stack Management Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the ELK stack. Data Integration Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using Logstash or other tools. Monitoring and Troubleshooting Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of the ELK stack. Security Implement security best practices to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Collaboration Work closely with other teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions using the ELK stack. Documentation Maintain comprehensive documentation of the ELK stack configurations, processes, and procedures. Familiarity with Service now, Confluence and JIRA. Understand SRE and DevOps principles
