To guide and support students in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative electronic projects for the Science Exhibition. The role involves mentoring students on circuit design, sensor-based models, automation systems, and other practical electronic applications, ensuring projects are safe, functional, and aligned with the exhibition theme.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination
Assist students in selecting feasible and innovative electronic project ideas.
Plan timelines and milestones for project completion.
Coordinate with teachers and exhibition committees for space, materials, and presentation setups.
Technical Guidance
Provide hands-on support in circuit design, wiring, soldering, and programming (if applicable).
Guide students in using sensors, microcontrollers (Arduino/Raspberry Pi), and basic electrical components.
Ensure all electrical connections and demonstrations are safe and properly insulated.
Supervision & Safety
Monitor students while working with electronic tools and components.
Conduct safety checks on all projects before exhibition day.
Maintain an inventory of materials and ensure proper lab usage.
Documentation & Presentation
Help students prepare display boards, project reports, and presentation materials.
Ensure project documentation includes aim, materials used, working principle, circuit diagram, and real-life application.
Assist in setting up and demonstrating the projects during the exhibition.
Innovation & Mentorship
Encourage creativity and problem-solving through simple automation or energy-saving ideas.
Introduce students to basic coding (if required) for programmable electronics.
Inspire students to connect science concepts with real-world applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience with basic circuits, sensors, and microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
Ability to explain technical concepts to school students clearly.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
Preferred:
Previous experience mentoring science projects or conducting STEM workshops.
Familiarity with renewable energy projects, robotics, or IoT basics.
