Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Leadership in Electromechanical Scope

• Lead the design, engineering, and execution of electromechanical systems including turbines, generators, pumps, motors, and control systems.
• Provide strategic technical direction from feasibility studies through commissioning.

2. Project Planning & Delivery

• Oversee engineering design reviews, approve technical specifications, drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of electromechanical works within project schedules.
• Coordinate with civil and hydro-mechanical teams for integrated solutions.

3. Technical Risk & Quality Management

• Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical systems, hydraulic machinery, and control logic.
• Implement fail-safe designs, redundancy, and preventive maintenance strategies for reliability.
• Ensure compliance with national/international codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary interface with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Represent electromechanical scope in high-level meetings and technical reviews.
• Provide strategic input into project development and technical due diligence.

5. Testing, Commissioning & Performance

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electromechanical equipment.
• Validate system performance and ensure operational readiness.
• Drive modernization initiatives such as SCADA upgrades and efficiency improvements.

6. Compliance & Safety

• Guarantee adherence to environmental, safety, and operational standards.
• Develop and enforce maintenance and emergency response procedures.

7. Team Leadership

• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor staff.
• Ensure capability building in electromechanical engineering and project execution.
• Qualification: BE/B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Exp: 25 to 28 yrs of experience in the same kind of job in Hydro/PSP.
