We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electro-mechanical Design Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in the automotive industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing electro-mechanical components and systems for automotive applications. This role requires proficiency in CAD tools, a strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality automotive products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and components for automotive applications, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.
Use CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo & Auto cad) to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings of electro-mechanical systems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, electronics and manufacturing) to ensure the seamless integration of components into the vehicle system.
Conduct analysis and simulations of electro-mechanical systems to validate design performance and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards. (IEC or ISO)
Perform prototype testing and troubleshooting of designs to ensure functionality and resolve issues as they arise.
Assist in the development of product specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and design documentation.
Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Participate in design reviews, ensuring designs meet quality, cost, and timeline goals.
Continuously research and implement innovative solutions to improve product performance and manufacturing processes.
Support the manufacturing and assembly teams with design modifications and improvements.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and other automotive-specific certifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical /Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
Familiarity with electro-mechanical components such as motors, actuators, sensors, and controllers.
Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and automotive industry standards.
Experience with simulation tools for mechanical and electrical system analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, IATF 16949) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Familiarity with automotive wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other risk management tools.
