Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical manuals. Install, replace, and maintain electrical components such as: Motors, generators, alternators Switchgear, control panels, distribution boards Transformers, control cables, sensors, instrumentation Handle installation and alignment of electrical wiring and cabling for turbine rotor, stator, associated auxiliary equipment (lubrication, cooling, excitation systems etc.). Perform testing & commissioning of electrical systems: insulation resistance testing, continuity tests, power-on tests, protective relay tests, etc. Troubleshoot electrical faults in rotating equipment, control circuits, PLCs (if applicable), sensors, thermal protection, and resolve breakdowns. Support overhaul / refurbishment of turbines: disassembly, inspection, replacement of worn electrical components, rewinding coils, balancing etc. Follow safe working practices at all times, including working with high voltages, lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined spaces, hot work, etc. Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and quality teams to ensure integrated operation. Maintain tools, equipment, and workplace in good order; ensure calibration of measurement / diagnostic tools. Provide accurate documentation of work done: maintenance logs, repair reports, test data, parts used etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

Formal electrical trade certification or diploma (Electrician / Industrial Electrician) or equivalent. Prior experience (typically 3?5+ years) in industrial electrical maintenance / rotating equipment / power generation / turbines. Good knowledge of high-voltage (HV) & low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, motors, generators, switchgear. Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems in turbines / large rotating machinery.
