Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures at construction sites. The role ensures that all electrical installations comply with safety standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Install electrical wiring, conduits, lighting systems, and panels as per project design. Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Ensure proper earthing, load balancing, and circuit protection. Assist in the installation of temporary site power and lighting. Conduct preventive maintenance and repair of electrical systems. Identify and rectify faults or malfunctions promptly. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety codes and standards (IS, NEC, etc.). Coordinate with other trades (plumbing, civil, HVAC) to avoid work conflicts. Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good working condition. Report daily progress and issues to the Site Engineer / Electrical Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in construction site electrical works. Sound knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Awareness of safety procedures and PPE use. Physically fit and able to work in all weather/site conditions.
