Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, lighting, motors, control panels, and equipment. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems. Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding on electrical circuits and equipment. Ensure proper earthing, grounding, and cable terminations. Test electrical systems using appropriate tools (multimeter, megger, etc.) to verify functionality and safety. Comply with electrical codes, standards, and company safety policies. Support other departments during equipment installation and commissioning. Maintain logs, records, and reports of electrical works carried out. Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.

Skills and Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field. Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial environment. Knowledge of electrical standards (IE Rules, NEC, IEC). Hands-on experience in wiring, conduit installation, and cable management. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults independently. Awareness of lockout-tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety practices. Good teamwork and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in shifts, at heights, or in confined spaces if required. Comfortable handling tools, ladders, and electrical equipment.
