Job Description

Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components (lighting, power distribution, UPS, HVAC controls, etc.) in office facilities. Troubleshoot faults and ensure timely resolution with minimal disruption to office operations. Install, maintain, and safely handle heavy load electrical equipment such as centralized air conditioning units, large UPS systems, high-capacity servers, and industrial-grade backup generators. Monitor and manage load distribution to prevent overloading and ensure system reliability. Carry out installation of new electrical wiring, panels, and control systems in compliance with safety and building codes. Upgrade electrical systems to support expanding office infrastructure, especially high-load IT and server rooms. Operate and maintain backup power systems, including diesel generators and UPS systems. Conduct periodic testing and load simulations to ensure emergency power readiness. Follow all electrical safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA) and company policies. Ensure proper grounding, circuit protection, and use of PPE during high-load operations. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment and systems. Use tools such as thermal imaging, clamp meters, and insulation testers to detect potential failures before breakdown. Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, load readings, incident reports, and system upgrades. Provide regular reports to facility managers and suggest improvements for energy efficiency and safety. Work closely with IT, HVAC, and facility management teams to support power needs for equipment and climate control systems. Supervise or train junior electricians or maintenance staff when required.
