Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Electrician

to work in the

shipbuilding industry

, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components on ships and marine vessels. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of marine electrical standards and be able to read technical diagrams and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and repair

electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures

in ships and marine environments. Lay out and connect electrical cables, circuits, control panels, and switchboards according to ship plans and diagrams. Inspect electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with

marine safety standards

. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades during the shipbuilding process. Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working order. Ensure adherence to

health and safety regulations

, including proper use of PPE. Read and interpret

blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams

. Install and commission shipboard systems such as

navigation lights, power distribution, communication systems

, and

alarm systems

. Carry out planned maintenance and emergency repairs on vessels in dry dock or at sea.

Qualifications & Skills:

ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician in

shipbuilding, marine, or offshore industry

. Knowledge of

marine electrical codes and standards

(e.g., IEC, ABS, DNV, IMO). Ability to work from technical manuals and blueprints.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
