. The Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in plant operations. The role requires technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, panels, and wiring.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and manuals.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
Coordinate with maintenance and production teams for smooth plant operations.
Maintain records of maintenance work, spare usage, and repairs.
Assist in electrical upgrades and new project installations.
Monitor energy consumption and suggest cost-saving measures.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols in high-voltage and industrial environments.
Requirements
Experience in the Steel & Power industry is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial panels, and motor control circuits.
Ability to diagnose and repair faults under pressure.
Hands-on experience with HT/LT panels, transformers, and industrial wiring.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and willing to work in shifts if required.
Qualifications & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5-10 years of experience
as an Electrician in Steel & Power industry.
