Position Summary

The Electrician is responsible for

installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment

to ensure

safe, uninterrupted plant operations

.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance & Operations

Perform

preventive, breakdown, and corrective electrical maintenance

. Maintain electrical systems such as

motors, panels, MCCs, DBs, transformers, lighting systems

, and cable trays. Attend and resolve

electrical breakdowns

during shifts to minimize downtime. Ensure proper functioning of

PLC panels (basic support)

, VFDs, and control circuits.

2. Installation & Commissioning

Carry out installation of

new electrical equipment, motors, panels, cables

, and earthing systems. Assist in commissioning and testing of electrical systems. Ensure correct

wiring, termination, and labeling

as per drawings.

3. Safety & Compliance

Follow

electrical safety procedures, LOTO practices, and PPE usage

. Ensure compliance with

statutory electrical norms and safety standards

. Maintain proper earthing and insulation resistance. Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain

electrical maintenance logs, breakdown records, and inspection checklists

. Update daily shift reports and job cards. Support internal and external

safety or electrical audits

.

5. Coordination & Support

Coordinate with

mechanical maintenance, production, and utility teams

. Support plant shutdown and planned maintenance activities. Assist vendors and contractors during electrical works.

6. Housekeeping & 5S

Maintain

cleanliness and organization

in electrical rooms and work areas. Ensure compliance with

5S and plant housekeeping standards

.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Certification:

Licensed Electrician preferred

Experience:

2-5 years in manufacturing / chemical / process plant Shift electrician experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of

industrial electrical systems

Ability to read

electrical drawings and schematics

Basic knowledge of

PLC, VFDs, and control panels

Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Good safety awareness and teamwork

Authority & Responsibility

Authority to isolate electrical supply during maintenance (as per SOP) Responsibility for safe and timely resolution of electrical issues during shift
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?28,000.00 per month
