To install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, switches, sockets, and lighting systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Identify electrical faults and carry out troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
Ensure proper earthing, load distribution, and safety compliance.
Maintain tools, equipment, and electrical materials in good condition.
Follow safety rules, PPE usage, and statutory electrical regulations.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians at site.
Support emergency electrical breakdowns and urgent repair works.
Maintain basic records of electrical work and maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, and safety norms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of electrical testing instruments.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Time management and attention to detail.
Qualification & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Electrician or Wireman trade.
Valid Wireman/Electrician License (preferred).
5 years of relevant experience in construction/site/factory electrical work.
Working Conditions
On-site work with flexible hours depending on project requirements.
May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or during emergencies.
Safety & Compliance
Must strictly adhere to electrical safety standards and company policies.
Responsible for safe handling of electrical tools and equipment.
