Job Title:

Electrician - Steel Plant

Location:

Koshi, Mathura

Job Purpose:

To perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on plant equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted operations in the steel plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment (e.g., motors, MCC panels, transformers, furnaces, rolling mills). Install and maintain wiring, control systems, lighting systems, and switchgear. Diagnose electrical faults, troubleshoot breakdowns, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Monitor and ensure safe operation of high-voltage (HT) and low-voltage (LT) electrical systems. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts. Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and power tools. Ensure timely calibration and testing of protection relays and circuit breakers. Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and spare parts usage. Adhere to safety protocols and electrical standards (e.g., IS, IEC). Coordinate with other departments (production, mechanical, instrumentation) during shutdowns and emergency repairs. Ensure compliance with energy management and electrical safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrician Trade Certification. 2-8 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment.
