Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repair

: Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and electrical appliances. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Installation

: Install new electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes. This includes wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.

Emergency Response

: Respond to electrical emergencies and power outages, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations. This may involve quick diagnostics and repairs to restore services.

Record Keeping

: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, including wiring diagrams and service reports. This helps in tracking the history of electrical work done in the hotel.

Collaboration

: Work closely with other hotel departments and third-party contractors on electrical projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Education

: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required.

Technical Skills

: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Communication Skills

: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
