Electrician

to join our hospital's maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and hospital equipment, ensuring a safe and functional environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, maintain and repair hospital electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and power systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems and medical equipment (e.g., UPS, patient monitors, surgical lights, oxygen panels). Maintain and service backup generators, inverters, and battery systems. Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical hospital equipment, such as ventilators, operation theatre equipment, ICU systems, etc. Coordinate with biomedical engineering teams for joint maintenance of electro-medical equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to safety codes and hospital policies. Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing. Respond promptly to emergency calls or system failures during and after working hours as needed. Comply with health and safety standards, infection control policies, and electrical regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Valid electrician license or certification (as per local/state requirements). Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility. Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards. Hands-on experience with hospital systems like HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, nurse call systems, and BMS (Building Management Systems). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in shifts and respond to on-call emergencies.

Preferred:

Familiarity with biomedical devices and hospital infrastructure. Experience in coordinating with vendors for maintenance and procurement. AC knowledge
