Job Title: Electrician - Eicher Commercial Vehicles

Department: Service / Workshop

Reports To: Service advisor / Workshop Supervisor

Job Purpose

To perform electrical diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Eicher commercial vehicles, ensuring reliable performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems in Eicher commercial vehicles (wiring, battery, alternator, starter motor, lighting, sensors, etc.).

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults in vehicle electrical and electronic systems.

Carry out routine checks on batteries, wiring harnesses, fuses, relays, and electronic control units (ECU).

Install, service, and repair vehicle lighting, signaling, and accessories.

Assist in troubleshooting issues with engine management systems, ABS, and other electronic components.

Maintain job records, parts used, and work completed in job cards.

Ensure all work is completed as per Eicher service standards and safety protocols.

Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and well-maintained.

Support senior technicians during advanced repairs and system upgrades.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.

Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Skilled in using multimeters, diagnostic scanners, and basic electrical tools.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

Commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality service.

Teamwork and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience

Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Automobile, or related trade (mandatory).

Experience: 1-3 years in commercial vehicle electrical repair (freshers with ITI can apply).

Prior exposure to Eicher vehicles or training from OEM is an added advantage.

Career Growth

Eligible for progression to Senior Electrician / Diagnostic Technician based on skills, certifications, and performance.

Pay: ?13,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
