Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Motor Designer

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Motor Designer with expertise in the design

and development of induction motors. The ideal candidate will have experience in motor

modelling, performance analysis, and CAD-based design, with a strong understanding of

electromagnetic theory and thermal management.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop induction motors for various applications (e.g., industrial, automotive,

HVAC, etc.).

Perform electromagnetic simulations and motor performance analysis using tools like

ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, or JMAG.

Generate 2D and 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using software such as SolidWorks

or AutoCAD.

Work closely with mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless

integration of designs.

Optimize motor efficiency, torque, thermal behavior, and cost through iterative design.

Develop test plans and support prototype validation and performance testing.

Prepare technical documentation including design reports, BOMs, and test data.

Stay updated with industry standards (IEC, NEMA, IEEE) and integrate best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

1 - 2+ years of experience in electric motor design, with a focus on induction motors.

Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation software and CAD tools.

Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, motor winding, core materials, and

loss calculation.

Experience with thermal and mechanical aspects of motor design is a plus.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes for electric motors.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
