Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Wiring and Assembly
Execute
panel wiring, control wiring, and machine wiring
according to design drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Assemble and mount electrical components such as
PLCs, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, power supplies, sensors, solenoids, and drives (VFD/Servo)
in control panels and machines.
Perform
crimping, termination, ferruling, cable routing, and labeling
as per standard industrial wiring practices.
Conduct
continuity, insulation resistance, and high-voltage testing
to ensure electrical safety and reliability.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant wiring workspace following
5S and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)
guidelines.
2. Machine Automation and Integration
Support the
installation, integration, and commissioning
of automated machines and industrial control systems at the factory and client sites.
Collaborate with mechanical, pneumatic, and automation teams to ensure proper system interfacing.
Assist in
I/O mapping
,
signal testing
, and
loop checking
during machine trials.
Participate in
troubleshooting of wiring, sensors, and control circuits
during FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
Ensure all electrical work complies with
IEC and IS standards
for industrial automation systems.
3. Documentation and Quality Compliance
Maintain detailed records of
wiring layouts, terminal drawings, cable schedules, and component lists
.
Support the preparation of
as-built drawings and electrical BOM (Bill of Materials)
.
Follow internal
QA/QC procedures
to ensure wiring accuracy and functionality.
Report issues or discrepancies to senior engineers and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Learning and Development (Trainee Phase)
Participate in structured
technical training programs
on PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
Learn
ladder logic programming
,
HMI screen development
, and
basic troubleshooting
of PLC-based control systems.
Gain exposure to
motion control, pneumatic systems, and process automation

Work under the mentorship of senior automation engineers to understand
machine logic design and system architecture

Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
electrical circuits, control panels, and industrial wiring

Ability to
read and interpret schematic, GA (general arrangement), and panel layout drawings

Basic understanding of
PLC hardware (Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.)
and field instrumentation.

Career Progression Plan:
The selected candidate will begin their journey as an
Electrical Wiring Technician
, focusing on control panel wiring, machine assembly, and providing support in automation-related activities during the initial 12 months. During this period, the candidate will also undergo structured training in
PLC and HMI programming
to build a strong foundation in industrial automation.
Upon successful completion of one year and demonstrating satisfactory performance, the individual will advance to the role of
Junior PLC Programmer
. In this phase, the candidate will assist in
PLC program modifications, HMI screen development, and on-site machine commissioning
under the guidance of senior automation engineers.
After further skill development, evaluation, and successful completion of assigned automation projects, the candidate will be promoted to the position of
