We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute testing and commissioning activities for high-voltage substations (AIS & GIS) ranging from 220kV to 765kV. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in switchyard equipment testing, bay integration with existing protection and SAS systems, and team management across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Execution
Prepare detailed testing & commissioning schedules aligned with project milestones.
Develop and submit comprehensive test protocols for all substation equipment (CTs, PTs, breakers, isolators, transformers, etc.) for client approval.
Conduct functional testing of protection relays, control circuits, and SAS systems.
Perform scheme checks and interlock verification for complete substation automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical, control, and protection circuits during commissioning.
Engineering Coordination
Review and analyze single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and cable schedules before execution.
Coordinate with relay, SAS, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration and commissioning.
Interface with engineering teams for as-built drawing updates and cable schedule finalization.
Provide technical feedback and solutions for design-related challenges across multiple projects.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead technical discussions with clients, consultants, and vendors for scheme modifications and approvals.
Schedule and conduct meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Communicate job progress, challenges, and resolutions effectively with the project team and clients.
Team Leadership & Management
Supervise and guide testing teams, relay & SAS engineers, and subcontractor teams (electricians, fitters, etc.).
Ensure safety compliance and quality standards are maintained across all site activities.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages accountability and performance.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
5+ years in substation testing & commissioning (220kV to 765kV)
Proven experience in AIS & GIS substation testing and commissioning (220kV-765kV).
Strong knowledge of protection relays (GE, Schneider electric, ABB, Siemens, SEL, etc.) and SAS systems.
Familiarity with IEC 61850 protocols and SCADA integration.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel and work on-site as per project requirements.
