Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical systems, a strong understanding of safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, motors, and panels. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, lighting, and power distribution systems. Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems. Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals. Support the setup and maintenance of control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation (if applicable). Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes and company standards. Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and assist in minimizing equipment downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance staff to support operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.

Minimum 1-4 years of experience

as an Electrical Technician in maintenance, construction, or industrial environments. Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and control panels. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams. Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with electrical safety practices and standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEC). Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation systems (preferred).

Physical & Work Requirements:

Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces). Must be able to lift moderate weights and operate hand and power tools safely. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.

Preferred Attributes:

Prior experience in manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or industrial settings. Certification in electrical safety or maintenance programs. Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
