Electrical Technician - TIDEL Park Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the operation, inspection, preventive, and corrective maintenance of all electrical systems at TIDEL Park. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, safe operation of equipment, and compliance with site and statutory safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain all electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and lighting circuits. Carry out daily inspections of electrical panels, meters, and equipment for any abnormalities. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance as per the maintenance schedule. Attend and resolve electrical complaints raised by tenants or site operations promptly. Support in switching operations, load monitoring, and meter readings. Assist in periodic testing of protection relays, earth pits, and insulation resistance. Maintain proper records of power consumption, logbooks, and maintenance reports. Coordinate with BMS and mechanical teams during equipment maintenance or shutdown. Ensure electrical safety, use of PPE, and compliance with permit-to-work systems. Support vendor and AMC activities as directed by the engineer or manager.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and fault diagnosis. Ability to operate and maintain LT/HT panels, DGs, and UPS systems. Familiar with single-line diagrams and control circuits. Knowledge of energy conservation and safe electrical practices. Basic computer literacy for log entry and reporting. Good teamwork and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

2-5 years in electrical maintenance (preferably in IT Parks, Malls, or Commercial Buildings)

Preferred:

Licensed wireman or competency certificate holder

Working Conditions:

Site-based role at TIDEL Park, Chennai. Rotational shifts may be applicable. Requires physical activity and working in electrical rooms and plant areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
