Job Description

1. Maintenance of Production Machinery

Preventive Maintenance:

Performing scheduled checks on specialized machines like

Warping machines, Looms machines, Needle punching lines

,

Knitting, PP Geogrid Extrusion and Coating units

to prevent sudden breakdowns.

Breakdown Repairs:

Quickly diagnosing and fixing electrical faults in motors, drives, and control panels to minimize production downtime.

Sensor Calibration:

Technical textiles often require precise heat and tension. You will be responsible for calibrating

temperature controllers, proximity sensors, and tension meters

.
2. Electrical System Operations

VFD & PLC Support:

Maintaining

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

that control motor speeds and assisting engineers in troubleshooting

PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

inputs/outputs.

Control Panel Wiring:

Reading complex electrical schematics to wire or repair Distribution Boards (DBs), MCBs, and contactors.

Utility Management:

Ensuring a steady power supply to the plant by maintaining

DG (Diesel Generator) sets, UPS systems, and HT/LT transformers

.
3. Safety & Compliance

Earthing & Grounding:

Regularly checking machine earthing to prevent static electricity--a major fire hazard in textile environments.

LOTO Procedures:

Strictly following

Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)

protocols during machine servicing to ensure personal and team safety
Skill CategorySpecific Requirements

Education

ITI/Diploma (Electrician Trade) .

Technical

Knowledge of Star-Delta starters, AC/DC motors, and Industrial wiring.

Diagnostics

Proficiency with Multimeters, Clamp meters, and Meggers (insulation testers).

Soft Skills

Ability to read blue-prints/circuit diagrams and work in shifts.
