ProtoConvert is seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Technician with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant stream. The role involves electrical wiring, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of protocol gateways and other hardware integration solutions. Basic computer knowledge and a willingness to learn new technologies are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical wiring, panel assembly, and basic fault diagnosis.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of protocol gateways and related devices.
Conduct testing and provide technical support for hardware integration activities.
Use basic software tools for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during installation and servicing.
Requirements
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, and connections.
Basic computer skills for configuration and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience in industrial automation, IoT, or Building Management Systems (BMS).
Basic understanding of communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, etc.
Prior experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
