OFC Technician (Cabling, Splicing, Laying & Networking)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled

OFC Technician

with hands-on experience in Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) activities, including

cabling, splicing, cable laying, and networking

.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

OFC cable laying

(underground/overhead) and proper route management. Conduct

splicing, jointing, and termination

of fiber optic cables. Handle

OTDR testing, power meter testing, and fault localization

. Ensure proper documentation of fiber routes, splicing details, and test results. Coordinate with the networking team for

LAN/WAN installation and configuration

. Maintain and troubleshoot network issues related to cabling and connectivity. Ensure compliance with

safety standards

and project quality requirements. Provide

on-site technical support

for installation and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/ITI/BE in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field. Proven experience in

OFC cabling, splicing, and laying

. Good knowledge of

networking basics (LAN, WAN, switches, routers)

. Ability to read and understand network diagrams and fiber layouts. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to travel and work on field projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in

Fiber Optics or Networking

will be an added advantage. Knowledge of

structured cabling systems

.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
