To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in a

safe, disciplined, and reliable manner

, ensuring protection of people, property, and uninterrupted electrical services within the ashram campus.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Works

Perform installation, operation, maintenance, and fault rectification of electrical systems (LT/HT, panels, lighting, cabling, earthing, DG/UPS/solar where applicable). Execute preventive maintenance as per schedule. Attend electrical breakdowns and emergencies promptly.

Safety & Compliance

Follow safe electrical work practices at all times. Strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Permit-to-Work, and PPE requirements. Comply with Indian Electricity Rules, statutory norms, and internal safety procedures. Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards immediately. Do not bypass safety devices or procedures under any circumstances.

Discipline & Conduct

Maintain punctuality, discipline, and integrity in all work. Respect ashram culture, silence zones, and sanctity of spaces. Keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe. Execute work as instructed without shortcuts or unsafe improvisation.

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain basic records of maintenance, breakdowns, and safety observations. Coordinate with supervisors, security, and operations teams. Support inspections, audits, and contractor supervision when required.
Qualifications & Experience

ITI / Diploma in Electrical (mandatory) Valid Electrical License (preferred) 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance Campus / institutional experience preferred
Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of electrical safety Ability to read basic electrical drawings Calm and responsible during emergencies High level of personal discipline and accountability Willingness to learn and follow structured processes
