Electronics technicians work on electrical devices and systems. Their responsibilities include:

Diagnosing and repairing electronics
Reading manuals
Installing new equipment
Performing routine servicing and inspections
Assisting with training, recruitment, and electronic upgrades
Reporting to the supervisor
Setting up, maintaining, and repairing electronic systems and devices
Diagnosing malfunctions
Performing tests
Following technical manuals to ensure proper functioning of equipment
Installing, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical devices and systems
Creating instruction manuals that a layperson can follow without professional assistance
Performing basic electrical engineering tests, including calibrations, on electronic systems
Developing prototypes and breadboard circuits
Design and work up plans to retrofit existing equipment
Researching and performing routine maintenance on electronic equipment utilizing test sets
Assisting in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or products
