As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will have a significant impact on improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality within the Manufacturing Engineering group. You will be responsible for developing advanced test and build fixtures that enhance assembly and testing processes. By implementing innovative solutions, you will help reduce build cycle times, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality tools. These contributions will directly support on-time delivery commitments, strengthen customer satisfaction, and drive operational excellence across Global Operations

Job Responsibilities

This position is for the Manufacturing Engineering Department at Lam India, Bangalore, and closely working with Pilot & HVME Manufacturing engineers, test engineers, industrial engineers across global build facilities. Lead the development of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including power distribution and control architecture for fixtures, outriggers, and test equipment Own and drive successful design reviews to get buy-in from all cross-functional teams & stakeholders for new design concepts. Provide technical leadership for sustaining engineering activities such as cable assy schematic and system interconnect schematics design, mistake-proofing of designs (e.g. poke-yoke of connectors, cables, etc.) and provide resolution to PRs. Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components. Ensure compliance with design standards, schedules, and KPIs for quality and on-time delivery. Provide accurate and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process of fixtures, outriggers & test equipment. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical & Electronics Eng., Electronics & Instrumentation Eng., Electronics and Communication Engineering with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems (Semi-conductor/Automotive/Aerospace), Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation. Proficient in Electrical/Electronic Circuit concept design & development with safety interlocks & various circuit analyses. (Circuit analyses include De-rating & Stress analysis, Power analysis & Logic compatibility analysis etc.) Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, Cadence or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation. Experience with executing & reviewing FMEA, structured Investigation, Problem Solving & Decision Making. Solid understanding of Engineering Change Management, product life cycle management & obsolescence management

Preferred Qualificaitons

Experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., process industries, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project. Basic Knowledge for electronic circuits, PCBs is a value addition. Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects with multi-national work environment. Familiarity of working with microcontrollers, automation software, python programming is desirable Good understanding of different standards and compliances like - NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC standard, SEMI Standard (Electrical) - S2, S8, S22 etc.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
