The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all electrical operations, preventive maintenance, breakdown rectification, and overall electrical safety within the client. The role ensures continuous power availability, optimal functioning of electrical systems, adherence to statutory compliance, and supervision of technical personnel deployed on-site.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Operations & Maintenance
Supervise the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems, including LT panels, distribution boards, UPS, DG, HVAC electrical components, and lighting systems.
Conduct routine inspections and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure 24/7 uptime of critical equipment such as UPS, server-room circuits, and emergency power systems.
Diagnose electrical issues and rectify faults promptly to reduce downtime.
Ensure all electrical equipment is operated within safe and optimal parameters.
B. Team Supervision
Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians.
Assign daily tasks, monitor work completion, and maintain performance records.
Conduct safety toolbox talks and technical training when required.
C. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain logs of energy consumption, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to the Facility Manager.
Assist in vendor coordination for specialized repair works.
D. Safety & Risk Management
Ensure all electrical safety protocols are strictly followed at all times.
Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure fire safety systems related to electrical installations are fully functional.
E. Client Coordination
Coordinate with the client for approvals, updates, and service request closures.
Address client complaints related to electrical issues and ensured timely resolution.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS, DG sets, HVAC and building management systems (BMS).
Expertise in troubleshooting electrical faults.
Ability to supervise a technical team.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Strong understanding of safety norms and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and testing instruments.
4. Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Diploma preferred).
Minimum
5-7 years
of experience in electrical maintenance (facility management environment preferred).
Experience working in corporate office / back-office / IT facility is an advantage.
Valid electrical "C" license
5. Work Environment
Corporate back-office facility.
Rotational or extended working hours may be required during emergencies.
May be required to support weekend/holiday maintenance.
