The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all electrical works at the construction site. The role involves managing installations, supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure project completion within schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Study electrical drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ for execution.
Plan daily site activities, allocate work to electricians and contractors.
Supervise installation of electrical systems (wiring, panels, cabling, lighting, earthing, transformers, HT/LT panels, etc.).
Inspect and test electrical installations to ensure quality and compliance with IS/IEC/NEC standards.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other site teams for smooth execution of work.
Prepare daily progress reports, material requisitions, and consumption records.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, and materials.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
Monitor adherence to safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and mitigate risks.
Resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with the Project Manager/Consultant.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
4-7 years of site experience in construction/electrical projects.
Knowledge of electrical systems, load calculations, and installation procedures.
Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and testing procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and site reporting tools.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
