to oversee and manage electrical installations for a
ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) park
. The ideal candidate will ensure that electrical work is carried out according to project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. You will play a critical role in commissioning, troubleshooting, and delivering a fully operational solar park.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage
the on-site electrical installation of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cables.
Review
electrical drawings, SLDs
, and ensure execution as per design specifications and national/international codes.
Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for
interdisciplinary integration
and schedule alignment.
Conduct
site inspections, quality checks
, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
Support in the
commissioning, testing, and energization
of the solar plant (LV/MV/HV systems).
Work with EPC contractors and subcontractors to monitor daily progress and resolve technical issues.
Ensure proper
documentation of as-built drawings
, test reports, and compliance certificates.
Liaise with
utilities and third-party inspectors
for grid connection and regulatory approvals.
Maintain and ensure implementation of
site safety practices and electrical safety
protocols.
Track material usage, manpower allocation, and prepare
daily/weekly progress reports
.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Electrical Engineering
.
3-8 years of experience in
solar power projects
, preferably ground-mounted PV systems.
Strong knowledge of
electrical equipment
used in solar parks (inverters, SCBs, transformers, etc.).
Proficient in interpreting
electrical layout drawings, cable schedules, and SLDs
.
Familiarity with relevant standards such as
IEC, IS, NEC, and IEEE
codes.
Hands-on experience with
earthing systems, lightning protection, cable laying, termination, and panel wiring
.
Working knowledge of
HSE regulations
, energy regulations, and grid compliance.
Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, and project reporting tools.
Preferred:
Experience working with
EPC contractors or renewable energy developers
.
Certification in
electrical safety or solar PV systems
.
Knowledge of
SCADA, remote monitoring systems
, or BMS is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Site-based role; requires extended hours and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
May require
travel to multiple project sites
or remote locations.
