Job Description

1. Estimation and Costing:

Analyse project requirements and electrical designs to prepare detailed cost estimates. Calculate material, labour, and overhead costs based on project specifications. Prepare

Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

for electrical projects. Evaluate vendor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness. Provide cost breakdowns and detailed proposals for tender submissions. Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.

2. Procurement and Purchase:

Source and procure electrical components, materials, and equipment (e.g., cables, transformers, switchgear, panels, etc.). Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing and terms. Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project timelines. Maintain purchase records, vendor performance reports, and related documentation. Monitor market trends to ensure cost efficiency and identify new suppliers.

3. Project Support:

Work closely with the design and engineering teams to align purchases with technical specifications. Coordinate with the project management team to address material shortages or delays. Review and approve material submittals from suppliers. Ensure all procured materials comply with quality and regulatory standards.

4. Budget Management and Reporting:

Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure costs remain within allocated limits. Identify and report potential cost overruns or savings opportunities. Generate cost variance reports and recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain detailed records of estimation, procurement, and purchase activities for audits. Fresh can also apply.
