Experience - Min. 3+ yrs. in electrical design and execution of projects in Oil & Gas industry (Proficient in AutoCAD (Mandatory), AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP (Preferred), MS Office)

The Electrical Project Design Engineer is responsible for the

design, planning, and execution of electrical systems

in oil & gas infrastructure projects such as refineries, terminals, process plants, and offshore facilities. This role involves developing detailed electrical drawings, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Develop and review

electrical drawings

: SLDs, load schedules, cable routing layouts, grounding/earthing systems, lighting layouts, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD. Design and size electrical components such as

transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and lighting systems

based on project specifications. Prepare

wiring diagrams

, loop diagrams, and termination details. Interpret

project specifications, datasheets, and client requirements

to develop accurate and compliant designs. Participate in

FEED (Front-End Engineering Design)

and

detailed engineering phases

. Estimate electrical loads and design power distribution systems accordingly. Prepare and monitor

project schedules

for electrical design activities. Create and maintain

technical documentation

, including design calculations, material specifications, BOQs, and as-built drawings. Ensure designs comply with relevant

international codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, ATEX, etc.)

. Coordinate with procurement for

technical evaluation of vendor offers

(Technical Bid Analysis - TBA). Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Civil) to ensure proper integration of electrical systems. Work closely with

site execution teams

for clarification, red-marked drawings, and design modifications during installation and commissioning. Assist in

site inspections, FATs, SATs

, and technical audits.
