Job Title: Jr. Engineer - Electrical Production(Shop Floor incharge)

Experience: 3+ yrs

Education: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech Electrical Engineering.

Salary: As per industry

Location: Chikhali, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

1

. Shop-Floor Electrical Assembly

? Build and wire electrical control panels as per design drawings (AutoCAD/EPLAN).

? Perform wiring of robots, welding power sources, sensors, safety devices, and field components.

? Conduct in-house testing: continuity checks, insulation tests, panel functionality, and I/O verification.

? Support assembly and integration of robotic welding cells before dispatch.

? Perform PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection) of electrical systems.

? Responsible for process logic development in PLC and preparation of electrical drawings.

? Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.

? Execute loop checking and I/O mapping.

? Ensure proper functioning of interlocks, alarms and control logic.

? Support PLC/HMI program modifications, optimization, software backup and logic updates.

Site Installation & Commissioning

? Install and terminate field wiring, cable trays, junction boxes, sensors, and control panels at site.

? Support robot-weld source integration, I/O mapping, and parameter configuration.

? Conduct power-on checks, safety circuit validation, and system trials.

? Assist robot programmers during commissioning, weld trials, and production readiness.

? Prepare site reports, installation checklists, and commissioning documents.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

? Diagnose electrical faults related to robots, welding machines, drives, sensors, and communication networks.

? Perform corrective actions and support preventive maintenance.

? Coordinate with OEM teams (robot/welding) when required.

. Documentation & Coordination

? Maintain wiring schedules, as-built drawings, and BOQ/BOM updates.

? Communicate with design, production, and project teams for smooth execution.

? Coordinate with customers and site contractors for timely project completion.

Safety & Compliance

? Follow electrical safety standards (IS/IEC), LOTO practices, and shop/site safety protocols.

? Ensure correct grounding, power distribution, and safe operation during welding automation installation.

? Perform safety checks for light curtains, interlocks, emergency stops, and safety relays.

Skills &amp

Technical Skills

? Strong understanding of industrial electrical wiring, control panels, and circuits.

? Experience in robotic welding automation and weld power source integration.

? Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols.

? Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

? PLC/HMI Programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block)

? Industrial Communication Protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)

? SCADA/HMI/DCS Software Experience.

? Strong understanding of electrical power systems.

Soft Skills

? Good communication and customer-handling abilities.

? Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.

? Ability to manage shop tasks and site activities independently.

? Team coordination with mechanical, design, and robot programming teams.

Qualifications

? Diploma / B.E / B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

? 4-8 years of experience in automation, robotic welding systems, or industrial electrical engineering.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
