Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Power System Engineer
with expertise in
PSCAD
to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for conducting
power system studies, designing electrical power systems, analyzing power generation, and optimizing power distribution networks
. This role requires a strong background in
Electrical Engineering
and hands?on experience with simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
power system studies
including load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination.
Design and develop
electrical power systems
for industrial and utility applications.
Analyze
power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Optimize
electric power distribution networks
for performance and cost?effectiveness.
Utilize
PSCAD
and other simulation tools for modeling and analysis.
Collaborate with cross?functional teams (design, testing, commissioning) to deliver projects.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Support R&D initiatives in advanced power system technologies.
Required Skills
Strong background in
Electrical Engineering
(Power Systems specialization preferred).
Proficiency in
PSCAD
for simulation and modeling.
Knowledge of
power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
.
Experience with other tools (ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, DIgSILENT PowerFactory) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem?solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
Master's degree in Power Systems / Energy Systems (preferred)
