Job Description

Lead, develop, and manage a group of 7-10 electrical, electronic/control engineers and subject matter experts at Lam India performing Product Development activities for Product Group Responsible for the research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of our products & subsystems by complex decision-making considering cost concerns and technical risks Responsible for determining and leading design approaches and analysing equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results Performs resource management and reviews (Budgeting, Prioritization, procurement, Utilization, Forecasting, reporting etc) for the team Act as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Interacts with India and Europe based Mechanical, Electrical Engineers, managers of different Lam Product Groups in delivering results. Can be responsible for creating management of best practices and documentation at departmental levels Demonstrated experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g. medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system design function. 6+ years of prior experience in managing direct reports consisting of electrical engineers / lead engineers/ Subject matter experts working on multiple projects Proven hands-on experience in the design, control, and productization of complex equipment, machinery, and AC/DC power distribution Proven hands-on experience in the design, development, and realization of control panel designs/PCBA/ electrical subsystems from concept to final release for mass volume production Demonstrated leadership skills in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in achieving business results Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices. Awareness of standards and compliances like SEMI, NFPA, NEC, UL IEC, IEEE Exposure to vendor development and concurrent engineering Prior SEMI industry experience
