Description of Job : -

Diploma in Electrical Engineering with over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Specialized in electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of electro-mechanical systems. Proficient in working with PLCs, VFDs, control panels, motors, and industrial electrical equipment. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Equipment Maintenance:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, motors, drives, and control panels used in viscose rayon, transparent paper, and chemical process plants. Maintain HT/LT motors, MCC panels, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLC-based control systems, and lighting systems.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in production machinery like spinning machines, drying machines, winding machines, and chemical reactors. Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of power failures or control issues.

Installation & Commissioning:

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines, equipment upgrades, and plant expansions. Supervise cable laying, panel wiring, earthing systems, and energy meters.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards (as per IS and IEC). Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with company safety protocols and statutory regulations (Factories Act, Electricity Rules).

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and energy consumption records. Coordinate with other departments (mechanical, production, utility) for smooth plant operation.

Energy Efficiency:

Monitor power factor, load distribution, and suggest improvements for energy savings. Implement energy-efficient practices and support sustainability initiatives.

Team Supervision:

Supervise a team of electricians and technicians. Conduct training and skill development sessions for junior staff.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits, protection systems, and motor control. Experience with PLC/ VFD's systems (Amtech, Siemens, Danfoss ). Familiarity with process industry equipment (Ply & Laminating, FMCG, Construction, Pollution control, rayon manufacturing, (chemical , dryers, Compressor, Motor, Filling machine, Boot polishing, Mortein machine Batching plant, Generator). Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
