Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and optimizing electrical systems, automation equipment, and control systems across FMCG manufacturing facilities. The role involves supporting production by ensuring minimal downtime, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and driving process efficiency through innovation and reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and automation systems within the production environment. Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of production line equipment and utilities. Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, VFD, and instrumentation issues to minimize production downtime. Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to improve line efficiency, energy utilization, and equipment reliability. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, company standards, and industry codes (e.g., NEC, IEC). Manage documentation of electrical drawings, control system programs, and maintenance records. Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within production lines. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during equipment upgrades, installations, or audits. Support training of technicians and operators on electrical systems and safe maintenance practices. Primarily plant-based role within a high-speed production environment. May involve shift work or on-call duties to support 24/7 operations. Frequent collaboration with production, maintenance, and quality teams. Experience in packaging line automation, process control, or utility systems (e.g., HVAC, compressed air). Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and safety compliance in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Education:

Diploma / B E in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in an FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial automation environment.
