Maintenance Electrical associate

POSITION SUMMARY:

An Electrical Associate supports maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, performing routine inspections, assisting in installations, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives. The role demands strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and safe electrical operations.

ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in processing and packaging machinery.

Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical plant operations.

Monitor and maintain motor control centers (MCCs) and control panels.

Inspect and maintain electrical distribution systems, including transformers and switchgear.

Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Support automation systems (PLCs, VFDs, sensors) and ensure smooth functioning.

Ensure all work complies with safety and electrical standards(CEA,IEC, NFPA).

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and electrical drawings.

Calibrate and test electrical instruments used in process control.

Coordinate with utility providers for load management and energy optimization.

Identify and implement energy-saving measures in the plant.

Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical breakdowns.

Maintain spare parts inventory for electrical components.

Collaborate with mechanical team for integrated maintenance.

Ensure proper earthing and lightning protection systems are in place and functional.

Provide electrical support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and upgrades.

Train operators and technicians on electrical safety and basic troubleshooting.

Follow 5S and continuous improvement practices in electrical maintenance areas.

Creation of purchase requisition through SAP

Co-ordinate with electrical suppliers for spares and inventory.

Monitor AMC vendors performance and evaluation.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

B Tech Electrical Graduate with 11 KV or 33 KV license holder from State electricity board or Diploma electrical engineering.

3 to 5 years work experience in seed industry or process industry or relevant experience.

Minimum knowledge on firealarm, fire hydrant system.

Ability to Prepare checklists and SOP for equipments.

Problem-solving skills

Ability to speak English effectively with employees of organization.

Ability to write mails through outlook.

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?400,000.00 per year
