Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of high-voltage electrical infrastructure and automation systems in the factory. The role involves managing preventive and corrective maintenance of PLCs, SCADA, drives, motors, CNC machines, and control panels to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HT (11kV/33kV) electrical systems, including transformers, VCBs, RMUs, and switchgear. Perform routine and emergency maintenance of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.), SCADA systems, and control panels. Conduct diagnosis and repair of faults in electrical drives (VFDs), servo motors, stepper motors, and associated control systems. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines, ensuring minimal downtime and alignment with precision production standards. Oversee maintenance of electrical panels (LT/HT), MCCs, DBs, and ensure effective load distribution and energy usage. Execute preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) and maintain detailed records of activities and findings. Analyze recurring breakdowns using root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actions. Work with cross-functional teams during machine installations, commissioning, and automation upgrades. Maintain and test pneumatic and electro-pneumatic systems integrated with production machinery. Ensure adherence to all electrical safety protocols, LOTO procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of PLC programming/troubleshooting (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley). Proficiency in SCADA monitoring and control, HMI operation, and field-level diagnostics. Solid understanding of electrical drives (VFDs, soft starters), industrial motors, and energy-efficient operation. Experience with CNC machine wiring, sensors, encoders, and servo systems. Familiarity with pneumatic control systems, valves, and air compressors. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Competent in using multimeters, meggers, earth testers, and other electrical diagnostic tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
