Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation and minimum downtime of all electrical and automation systems in the printing and packaging plant. The role requires hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, PLC programming, and preventive maintenance of high-speed machines used in printing, laminating, slitting, pouching, and packaging processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical panels, drives, and control circuits. Diagnose faults in electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and sensors to minimize machine downtime. Repair and replace electrical components (contactors, relays, sensors, power supplies, etc.). Maintain and update electrical documentation and wiring diagrams.

2. PLC & Automation

Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or equivalent). Interface PLCs with HMIs and other automation systems. Optimize PLC logic for better machine efficiency and safety compliance. Support installation and commissioning of new automated machines or upgrades.

3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical and control systems. Monitor key equipment parameters and identify early signs of electrical or automation issues. Maintain maintenance logs and generate performance reports.

4. Equipment & Machine Support

Provide technical support for printing presses, lamination machines, slitter-rewinders, pouching machines, and packaging lines. Ensure proper functioning of VFDs, servo drives, and control panels. Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for smooth plant operations.

5. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all maintenance work adheres to electrical safety standards and statutory regulations. Participate in audits, inspections, and energy-saving initiatives.
