Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Experience Required:

5-10 years (preferably in a independent/captive power plant)

Educational Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:

Perform routine and emergency maintenance of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, HT/LT motors, MCC panels, and control systems.

Power Plant Equipment Handling:

Responsible for operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in 2 x 45 MW turbines, alternators, excitation systems, and auxiliary systems.

Switchyard Operations (if applicable):

Monitor and maintain the power plant's switchyard (typically 132 kV) and ensure safe energization/de-energization procedures.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all electrical maintenance work complies with industry standards and safety regulations (CEA, IE Rules, OSHA, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain daily maintenance logs, breakdown analysis reports, test results, and maintenance schedules.

Team Coordination:

Supervise and guide electricians and technicians; coordinate with mechanical and instrumentation teams for integrated maintenance activities.

Testing & Calibration:

Conduct insulation resistance tests, relay testing, calibration of protection systems, earth resistance testing, etc.

Inventory & Spares Management:

Identify and forecast spare part requirements; coordinate with the store/purchase team for timely availability.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of power plant electrical systems and protection schemes Hands-on experience in troubleshooting HT/LT systems Familiarity with PLC/SCADA (if DCS-based plant) Knowledge of energy management and power quality Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability-centered maintenance practices Good communication and leadership skills

Pay: ?45,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
