Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems across the paint plant. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in mixers, blenders, conveyors, dryers, pumps, HVAC systems, and spray booths. Ensure safe installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems in

hazardous/explosive environments (ATEX or IECEx compliance preferred)

. Maintain and update electrical wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams. Monitor and control energy usage, and recommend initiatives for improving power efficiency. Ensure proper functioning of fire protection systems, emergency power supply, and explosion-proof equipment. Supervise electrical contractors during installations or shutdown maintenance. Maintain inventory of critical electrical spares and consumables. Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with statutory safety norms and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies. Keep electrical records for audits, inspections, and ISO/OSHA documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3-6 years of relevant experience in maintenance within a

paint, chemical, or hazardous material manufacturing environment

. Working knowledge of

PLC systems, VFDs, MCCs, control panels

, and process instrumentation. Hands-on experience with

flameproof/explosion-proof electrical equipment

. Knowledge of national and international electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, ATEX). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
