Job Description

Electrical Maintenance & Repairs

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical machines, systems, and equipment. Inspect electrical components (motors, panels, wiring, relays, PLCs, drives) and ensure they meet safety and operational standards. Diagnose faults using testing tools like multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc. Repair or replace defective parts to minimize downtime.

Installation & Commissioning

Assist in installing new electrical equipment, panels, and wiring systems. Support commissioning and testing of new machinery and electrical upgrades. Ensure installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.

Troubleshooting

Respond to emergency breakdown calls and resolve electrical issues promptly. Analyze recurring problems and suggest improvements to prevent future failures.

Safety & Compliance

Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and company policies. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed logs of maintenance works, repairs, and electrical checks. Report major faults and maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Keep inventory of tools, spare parts, and electrical components.

3. Required QualificationsEducation

Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

2-5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred).

Skills

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment. Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and PLC logic (basic knowledge preferred). Hands-on experience with motors, control panels, VFDs, sensors, and industrial machines. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of safety procedures and electrical standards.
