Manage the entire E&I project store operations at the site.
Ensure proper storage of electrical and instrumentation items including cables, switchgears, lighting fixtures, control panels, instruments, junction boxes, cable trays, etc.
Implement best practices for material handling, storage, and preservation (especially for sensitive instruments and hazardous area-rated equipment).
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate records of stock using inventory management systems (manual or ERP).
Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation of stock.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely reordering of critical items.
Material Receipt & Inspection:
Receive incoming E&I materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
Conduct quantity and quality checks in coordination with QA/QC or Inspection team.
Report discrepancies or damages to the concerned department and follow up on corrective actions.
Issuance & Documentation:
Issue materials to site execution teams against proper Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
Maintain daily issue logs, stock registers, and traceability records.
Prepare and submit reports such as daily stock reports, minimum stock levels, and pending items.
Coordination:
Coordinate with procurement, planning, QA/QC, and site engineers for material needs and shortages.
Work closely with subcontractors and site supervisors to plan material issue schedules.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to site safety protocols in the store area.
Implement proper labeling, MSDS availability, and storage segregation for hazardous materials.
Follow environmental and safety norms for electrical and instrumentation materials storage.
