An Electrical Head in an integrated steel plant's power plant is responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of the plant's operations, including maintenance, operations, and projects. The Electrical Head manages a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring efficient and safe power distribution and maintenance of all electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Power Plant Management:
Ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the power plant's electrical systems, including substations, distribution networks, motors, transformers, and control systems.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, as well as troubleshooting high-voltage systems, control panels, and automation equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations during all electrical operations and maintenance activities.
Team Leadership:
Leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Project Management:
Participating in the planning, execution, and commissioning of electrical projects within the power plant.
Budget Management:
Contributing to the development and management of the electrical department's budget.
Energy Management:
Ensuring efficient energy utilization within the power plant and contributing to overall energy conservation efforts.
Relationship Building:
Fostering strong relationships with other departments within the integrated steel plant to ensure seamless coordination and support.
Continuous Improvement:
Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of the power plant's electrical systems.
Required Skills and Experience:

Experience:
